Midland is centrally located in Texas. It is an overnight stop between Amarillo and Big Bend National Park, but is also about halfway between El Paso and Fort Worth. There are a number of hiking trails where you can stretch your legs with the chance of spotting bobcats, foxes, porcupines, raccoons, rabbits and turtles.
