Midland is centrally located in Texas. It is an overnight stop between Amarillo and Big Bend National Park, but is also about halfway between El Paso and Fort Worth. I-20 Wildlife Preserve : In this nature reserve, a lot of wildlife wanders and flies. There are a number of hiking trails where you can stretch your legs with the chance of spotting bobcats, foxes, porcupines, raccoons, rabbits and turtles.
